There has been a lot of hype about this book, probably because of the author's previous book, The Poet X, so I was already really intrigued to read it. Having read the first 27 pages, I can see why people love this author's writing so much.
It's an interesting start, and I'm intrigued by the main character, Emoni, and her situation. It only touches on the cooking aspect in this sample, but I believe it is going to feature cooking quite heavily, and I love that. I'd love to read more and see where this story goes.
