I was very interested to read this book as soon as I saw the beautiful cover, but after reading the blurb I wasn't quite so sure. It didn't seem quite like the sort of book I like to read and I didn't know what I thought about the idea of 'teen pregnancy'.

After reading the First Look, I was unsure what to think! On one hand, it did seem gripping and I really want to learn more about the characters. The book was also laid out beautifully: with a recipe at the beginning (because the main character is great at cooking). However, I was concerned that I might not be able to side with the main character as much as I would like to: she swears a few times and has somehow gotten pregnant at a young age. (She seems quite irresponsible - as she says herself). This might not be the case, though, as you get further into the book - she may change as a character or her pregnancy may be described in a way that makes her seem more innocent.

Overall, I would be willing to try this book with an open mind and see how it went but I would not be too desperate to get hold of it. Despite this, I can see that this might well be the book for plenty of other people!
