Emoni has quite the personality- her point of view is very straight to the point and snappy. She's still in high school but seems to be a lot older based on the way she treats her child and also the way she talks to her family members and other people.
I liked reading a bit about the Latino community and enjoyed reading the Spanish (and Spanglish) words and phrases they use, as I am also learning Spanish and have somewhat of an interest in Spanish-speaking communities around the world.
I'd love to follow her on her journey as she takes care of her child and see the struggles and breakthroughs that follow. I'm also curious to see her relationship with Tyrone as she seems to have a somewhat unhappy relationship with him though it was not clarified.
