Spectacular introduction that left me wanting more

Immediately I loved it as we start with a recipe that really sets the tone for this book. It has character and food and flavour play an important role. And then we meet the character of Emoni who is young, a mother, and off to her senior year of high school. I am so excited to read more especially as this is a diverse read that shows there is going to be character to this whole book and I definitely want to keep reading more.
