The cover used bold colours to attract the readers’ attention and it was a nice to see a change of designing style when it comes to book covers.
From reading the blurb, I thought I definitely would not like this novel. This is a genre I sometimes go for, but I find that some books can be boring, and I thought this book would be all about cooking. I was very wrong.
The writing style has a nice flow and I like the use of similes and descriptive words.
I wish other characters would be involved more. Although it’s just the beginning, I feel like everything has been focused on the main character (which is kind of essential). I want to see more of other characters and how they could help in the story.
Overall, plot seems good but I’m worried that it might become slightly boring half way through the novel.
