My first impression of this was just wow. The cover is beautiful and then the writing just blew me away. I love the mix of reality and escapism. Someone facing the ups and downs of real life whilst having a hobby to distract them is wonderful.
A goal of mine this year was to read more works by women of colour and this would be incredible to add to that list.
