I really enjoyed this book, with its focus on food...and a little gentle romance too.
I think this is probably aimed at a younger audience than me, but that did not stop me from enjoying it wholeheartedly. The story moved along at a good pace, and was a gentle story about a 17 year old mother and her bid to finish high school while also fulfilling her love of cooking.
The gentle romance between Emoni and Malachi was really nice to read, and I hope that if there is a follow up book to this, then that relationship would be developed further. I think as the book took place over a year, and ended with Emoni starting on a new chapter in her life a follow up novel could be fantastic. I'd certainly look to read it!
