Emoni is a seventeen year old mother of a two year old. Based in America while crossing continents. Still at school Emoni wants to achieve more for herself and her young daughter. Emoni has to juggle parenting alongside schooling, relationships and the future. This is about her trying to achieve her life long dreams against the odds. The taste and smells of the recipes seep from the words on the page and even include a few recipes. This is a young adult book. It has short chapters making it easier to pick up and put down for a more reluctant reader while some of us are going to keep on reading to the end. Wonderfully written this is an enjoyable book. The author is a Carnegie medal winner.
