This book is a heartwarming story of a single mother of the bame community which shows her struggles and highlights of her life. She shows how with hard work and consistency you can overcome any obstacle in your way. It shows the dynamics of friendships as a single parent especially at a young age but also makes it relatable if you don’t have children yourself. I love how it then added in the extra concept of her finding love and the dating scene especially given her circumstances. This book is a really good read and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to read more diversely whilst also being fulfilled! I will 100% be reading more of Elizabeth Acevedos books in the new future! 10 out of 10!
