This book is just brilliant, the characters and plot are both relatable and unexpected! I loved it so much. The cover is beautiful and the layout is really cool. I loved the element of food and cooking because I really relate to that ! It took me a little while to get into it but after 100 pages, I was hooked. I look forward to reading Elizabeth Acevedo’s novels in the future. Spoilers alert ! I love love loved Malachi he was so sweet ! I liked the abula a lot but I pitied her a lot also, because she had given given Up So much of her life to look after her son and his daughter and then his daughters daughter. So I Was glad to see her get a Happy ending. Tyrone was very annoying but I loved Emoni! Her trip to Spain was magical and throughout the book I wished I could taste her food! I have recommended this book to loads of friends and I would recommend it to you also!
