This book talks about Emoni and her struggles through life. It takes a feminist viewpoint which it succeeds fantastically. It is great to see topics that are sometimes hard to talk about being so beauktiffukynprotarted.

Emonis teenage pregnancy is a good topic to talk about as it isn’t normally talked about in most books. I think the author tackled this problem perfectly and portrayed it in such a light that allowed the reader to see both sides to a teenage pregnancy. We see the pure joy Emoni has towards her son however we see her struggles with trying to balance life at home with her son and her grandmother while also balancing and struggling with school. It is a good read which focuses on character development. Emoni has a passion for cooking which is lovely to see
