I remember seeing the cover of this book ages ago and looking forward to reading it. For some strange reason, I clearly never got the chance to read the full extract.
I was instantly smitten with the consistent theme of hearty, home cooked food and experimental ingredients, something I pride myself on so the extract really made me smile.
I love that the book is about a teen pregnancy and a young woman who wants to make a better life got herself and her baby - far from the frustrating stories of '16 and pregnant', tarring all young mums with the same awful brush.
There is clear passion throughout the extract and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely read the full book to learn how the protagonist gets on with her goal!
