Incredible.
Acevedo delivered yet again with another beautiful novel. I've read The Poet X and Clap When You Land, and I didn't know what to expect with this one! But it was just as beautiful, just as incredible, and within a moment these characters became family to me. Can I wrap them up and take care of them?
I love how this book is able to capture in a precise way how you can struggle in high school and the responsibilities one might juggle next to high school. I love how Acevedo is able to reach me and I think these girls would've made me feel less alone in high school. I'm so thankful for her books and being able to devour them with love and appreciation. I loved the way she used recipes and I listened to the audiobook, which was amazing. It made it feel even more real.
An additional note: the cover of the book is so beautiful. Gorgeous. I'm in awe.
