I loved this book a lot more than I thought I would, at first it did take me a few chapters to get into it but after that the writing style flowed very well and I love how it portrayed a young mother who stays on track with her life, and shows how the stereotype of a teen mother having to drop out of school to work is not always the case, and it shows how having a baby at a young age is not always a life ruining thing, as a lot of people tend to frown on the fact that a teen is having a baby at such a young age. I can’t wait to get into more of Elizabeth Acevedos work because I really enjoyed the way the book was set out. I finished the book in a few days once I started reading it and then listened to the audiobook, which other people have said to do and it was really good! I liked how it was Elizabeth who read the audiobook.
I highly recommend this book as it was an enjoyable read and I will definitely be reading more of Elizabeth Acevedos work in the future.
