After having read the free sample which you are given I must say that this book is very uplifting and 'bright'.
I personally love the way in which it is written and the language which is used, as in it's very modern day, motherly language. Sort of how you would speak if you were a mother.
The book gives me summer vibes but also happy vibes even though the story itself isn't all that jolly but is also infact a quite stressful life story following this mother and her life with her child.
The opening of the story was rather quite sweet, it was a recipe for Emonis when life gives you lemons make lemon verbena tembleque. I thought that that was quite a nice welcoming opening to the story as you can sense that maybe this womens life isn't going all so well and thats why shes making this sweet treat.
So far it's a lovely book and I will definitely be purchasing this.
