The cover looks quite sinister; it reflects the genre but I'm not sure it's appealing. After reading the synopsis, I thought this might be a series I would enjoy. However, I found the extract uninspiring. I didn't like the writing style or believe in any of the characters and I wanted to skip through it rather than devour every page. I'm disappointed as it just didn't grab in me the way that I thought it would.
