There's nothing here not to like. A dramatic and mysterious start, an adrenaline-packed murder and discovery, and hints of some big personal issues among both the police officers working the case and the (heroic!) wife of the newly deceased. The prose is concise and compelling, and having thoroughly enjoyed one of the author's previous novels, I can't wait to get my hands on this one.
