This novel is real edge of the seat stuff. It is part of a series, and it would probably of been best to have read the preceding books, but I didn't find it too difficult to follow.
Sara Prior receives a message on her phone from her husband and she knows he is in trouble, she goes to help him,but finds that she is too late and he has been murdered in a vicious way. Fearing that the police will never find out what happened to him, and with combat training behind her she sets out to follow the clues left behind by her husband. Running parallel to Sara's story is that of police detective Cody, haunted by a previous case, mentally disturbed and with the symptoms of PTSD he is drawn into a bizarre and contorted case, which becomes more and more personal.
This thriller is a real fast paced, gripping and chilling read, just when you think things can't get anymore twisted, another turn appears! I think this is very well written and I enjoyed reading it.
