I really enjoyed David Jackson's three previous books featuring police detectives, Nathan Cody and Megan Webley. The first two had a great sense of place - Liverpool - and I loved the characteristic Scouse banter between the members of the police team.
Your Deepest Fear was different but still enjoyable. It was more about Nathan Cody and the PTSD caused during a previous undercover operation. At times I felt that it was becoming more like a Stephen King horror novel and the story lost some of it's credibility for me. Whilst reading it I wondered whether this would have to be the last in the series however, a further psychologically damaged Nathan Cody survives and it will be interesting to see how this affects him in future books.
