Was eagerly anticipating David Jackson's new book, having loved the others especially the last one. Maybe the cover should have given me a clue. It's a minimalist cover that doesn't give much away.
The story is told from the victims widow, Sara and detective Cody. The story also goes back to an incident in Codys past which has been a thread running through all the books. I found this frustrating as I couldn't remember exactly what had gone one and felt it detracted from the story. If you don't like gruesome murders this certainly isn't the book for you. It's well written and the relationship between Cody and Sara is interesting. The book is well written with a dash of humour but I struggled to finish it.
