A gruesome murder leads Cody down a path he'd rather not follow. This book feeds you the suspense page by page culminating in a shock discovery but in places I found the pace too slow. For what was a decent length book the story wasn't as fleshed out as I would have liked and in places fell short of expectation. The main characters were well developed and the plot was fairly believable but it just didn't push all of the right buttons for me and in places felt slow and over egged. I wanted to love this book but it just felt like a short story stretched out. Whilst it obviously has some links to previous stories, these weren't explained enough to be able to read this as a stand alone book. Would I read it again? Probably not
