David Jackson definitely knows how to hook a reader that keeps her (or him) up all night long until the last page is read.
The relatively short chapters and paragraphs well mimic the characters' minds trying to find any clue about Matthew Prior's murder and the mystery around it. Also, the psychological trauma that Detective Sergeant Nathan Cody went through, greatly describing the symptoms and consequences of his case explained in "Don't make a sound."
Moreover, the language David Jackson uses is simple to understand, whilst the techniques he uses create such deep meaning behind the pain and horror of Matthew and Sara Prior's story.
Also, Jackson's words are so well written you can picture every scene right in front of your eyes, as if you were watching a movie or a play.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves horror and thriller, as well as everyone else.
"Your deepest fear" is a book everyone must read before they die!
