I've heard about a similar experiment (where you get two people to ask each other questions and it is mean to promote intimacy) and I think it would be interesting to explore this through a piece of fiction. I enjoyed the transcript parts, I believe this makes the novel stand out. I'm not certain on the two main characters though; she seems a bit "manic pixie" and he seems rude for no real reason. That being said, it's early days with the book and hopefully as they come to know each other better through the questions, we would also get the chance to see them grow into more realised people.
