The book begins written in a usual prose style and then the chapters are written mostly in script style with two characters, Hildy and Paul. I enjoyed the interplay between them, which after an acrimonious start develops into a relationship of sorts. They gradually reveal facts about themselves but at times I would have preferred a slightly faster pace. Hildy is having a meltdown with her family and Paul is keeping his life very private but you do not know why until right at the end of the story. The author has given her some very interesting and amusing friends, who she often relies on for advise. You tend to forget they are only in their late teens so still finding their way in life. I prefer the prose style myself but this is an interesting change.
