I enjoyed this book, it's an easy read which explores the psychology of relationships in a very light and quite fluffy way. Our protagonists are teens Hildy and Paul, matched without much thought by a Psychology Postgrad researching whether it is possible to engineer love. He gives them 36 questions to ask each other. Of course the path of true love, whether engineered or organic is never smooth.
Hildy and Paul are both likeable and engaging characters, if a little one dimensional - he's the talented bad boy with a hidden tragedy and secretly sweet nature, she's the ditzy poor little rich girl in a family crisis. Their banter around the questions is fun though, and the use of social media and face to face conversation was well written.
This book isn't great literature and it's fairly predictable but it is a fun read, which made me smile. The perfect antidote to some of the heavier books I've been reading recently. It would have been a solid three star read but Paul's drawings, which punctuate the book, pushed it up to four for me.
