Not one to get excited about
This story follows Hildi and Paul, both who are eighteen and both of whom end up in a university psychology study to see if feelings of connections can be encouraged by asking each other 36 questions. Hildi doing this for her interest in psychology, Paul for the $40 pay out on completion. But what will happen with these two?
The answer is not a lot. I wasn't a fan of this young adult book. This was sold to me as a slow building romance. All this really is, is slow building. The chemistry just wasn't there for me.
And although there were occasional sweet moments in this mainly I was just bored reading it. I also struggled with how this book is written. The majority of this book is either full on conversation or messaging which is ok but it doesn't add a lot to the ambiance of the story. It also didn't really develop anything and just felt like pages of boring information I wasn't interested in.
The characters were pretty flat and one dimensional. And it's a shame because I had such high hopes for this book.
