I was hooked with this book from the sample and I absolutely loved it. Hildy is such a charming and relatable main character, when we meet her shes having one of "those" days. We all have them. You're running late, you have a million things to do. You get stopped by every traffic light and suddenly you have the worst case of butter fingers and you become increasingly aware of how clumsy you are and it just won't stop. To a stranger, she seemingly has a perfect life but her family is imploding and she blames herself.

Paul, or Bob, as he is sometimes known, is your typical bad guy with a facial tattoo and devil-may-care attitude. He doesn't need anybody or anything, just his drums and something to draw with. He's brusque and mysterious but over the 36 questions Hildy manages to slowly peel back his layers.

The side characters consist of Hild's parents, her younger brother Gabe and her two best friends. Not to forget Kong, probably the most important character of the book.

Whilst most of the book is set out as dialogue, both spoken and text in the form of messaging, there is some normal formatting within the story too.

I thought the final chapter was a nice little addition
