This is a really well and tightly written suspense story. I've never read Anne Holt's books before, but will start to catch up immediately! Every character is cleverly and concisely portrayed and complement each other perfectly. The opening scenario where our heroine is shot by a ricochet bullet through the head of a MP starts the whole zigzag trail of mystery. Brilliant! The cover, bleak, chilling and chilly landscape, very Norwegian, sets the scene perfectly.
