This is the third instalment in the Selma Faulk series. I’ve not read the previous books but I don’t feel like that matters!!
Anne Holt’s written an intelligent strong female lead which I love, the market is fully saturated with either your James Bond or Jack Reacher kind of characters!! It’s fantastic to see a woman (I’m assuming a mother as I’m not sure who Anine is) in such a high powered role!!!
I’m fascinated by the first chapter, it’s set nine years earlier and seems fairly detached from the rest of the first look section that I read. It must tie in somehow so I’m excited to see how, it’s very intriguing!
I love books with a scandi feel!! There’s something quite cool and trendy about them!! I got major Jo Nesbo vibes.
