I have never read this author before but after reading this extract I am wanting to dive into her other books in the series. Selma is a multi-faceted and intriguing, female lead that has me wondering what's made her who she is. There are hints to previous book plots but the book still remains easy to follow. This book hints at twists to come with hints placed subtly throughout. The chapters are quick and short but not lacking in detail. I like the pace the novel flows at, keeping me interested yet not skimping on character or plot development.
