This is a new author to me and a new collection, however if the rest of the book follows suit with the opening pages, I wish I had read her novels sooner! There is much contrast between the eloquence of some of the words and the language used by characters - I wasn't expecting some of the expletives when they arrived, so found that surprising. However, the action and suspense is non-stop from the opening page.
