This was such a shame. I managed to get three quarters of the way through and then I just couldn’t take anymore. Just when you think something is going to happen you get hit with a whole load of political spiel, boring the tears out of me, and then you are steered slightly back on track only to find they are no further forward in the story. Each character is particularly bland, but could have had so much more potential. Selma Falck is a private investigator, pretty famous in the town she lives and rubs shoulders with fairly important people. Her government friend is shot dead whilst sitting right next to her and she has to decide whether to pursue trying to find out who shot her and why or find out who the mysterious person is entering her flat uninvited and leaving memorabilia from her childhood days behind. It’s all a little messy and just not entertaining enough for me. I’m sure it will tick someone else’s boxes though.
