The plot was ambitious and quite complex. There were quite a few characters and I did struggle at times to remember who was who. I think this was made more tricky for me because it took me a fair while to read as I didn't find it gripping.
I did enjoy the story and it was a really good whodunnit. I was not able to work out who was responsible until it was unveiled but the ending didn't wow me. It was a satisfying end but didn't blow me away.
This is the third book in a series and I think many of the issues I had with this read would not have been a problem had I have read the earlier books in the series. It does work as a standalone book but I would recommend starting from the first book with this particular series.
