I love a scandi thriller whether it is on TV or in book form. This book is no exception, I enjoyed the story from the first page. Although as this is the first book I've read by Anne Holt I felt like I missed some of the references mentioned in the story that relate to the previous two books in the Salma Falck series and would now like to read those two books to discover what happens in those two.
Although I enjoyed this book I did struggle in parts to keep track of who all the characters were and how they all related to the story. I think this is partly due to the translation from Norwegian to English. I also couldn't make my mind up if I actually liked the lead character Salma Falck.
If you are a fan of scandi noir I recommend giving this author and series a go but would recommend starting at book one to allow you to follow the story of Salma Falck correctly.
