A memory for murder is a great read. I would of preferred to have read the trilogy in the order they were intended but as a stand-alone book it is a truly gripping read. The writers style of writing is fluid to follow - surprising giving the original is in Norwegian you wouldn’t of thought it was ever in another language as the translation is impeccable.
The story follows the central character, delivering twists and turns throughout and keeps the reader interested expertly throughout each and every word. I couldn’t put this book down and have since purchased the other books in the series.
There is something beautiful in the penmanship of Anne holt as it is evident throughout the novel that she was a born writer who is passionate and dedicated to her craft. The ending of the book was not expected and was a great cliffhanger. I can’t wait to further explore this author.
