I'm normally not a lover of Norwegian Crime- I like Jo Nesbo but that's about it. I found this book to be a bit complicated, you require a level of knowledge about the Norwegian law system that I don't have. I also did not like the chapter lengths, sub chapters are dotted through but for me the chapters were just too long.
I liked the lead character in Selma, I felt she had depth but we didn't seem to know her very well which meant I didn't sympathise with her and her situation. Perhaps it would have helped to have read the previous 2 books in this series.
The premise of the story is exciting but the actual writing was too slow for me and I was really put off by the sub chapters I'm afraid as each one seemed to be about a different person.
The front cover is nice but I don't see how the title links.
Overall I wouldn't recommend to anyone who doesn't like Norwegian Crime.
