A Memory for Murder a Scandi story sounded just the kind of book I like. However, I found the story overlong and hard to read and believe.

The main character is Selma Falck a private investigator who had been a lawyer. When she is shot whilst meeting up with her oldest friend, her friend is killed in the sniper attack and everyone thinks that Selma's past has caught up with her and that she is the prime target. However, more people are murdered and it is realised that something more twisted is involved.

I didn't feel that as the story unfolded it was reliable or credible. I found myself not enjoying the story playing out as well as the story being hard to follow. In the end I finished the story but didn't feel the rush when one realises who did it. I have since given the book to a friend who normally reads similar books and, when she has finished we will discuss the book.
