I really liked the first look into this Scandinavian thriller/crime. Scandinavian crime is my favourite book setting since reading Will Dean's 'Dark Pines'. This book, however short the first look is, gave off a very similar air to it. I loved the characters already, how the main character speaks to swooning women. I'd be really interested to see where this book leads, how the characters develop and see what kind of crimes and thrills emerge.

So far, this feels like it can be a really cozy, easy crime book to read. The words are paced really nicely, with the right percentage of dialogue, action and description. This will make an ideal Christmas read, reading by an open fire in a Scandinavian Lodge drinking hot coco. Unfortunately I do not have any of those things, but I'd still really love to finish the book. If I do not win, I shall buy regardless.
