I really really enjoyed this book. It was suspensful and exciting. It was a complex case for the flawed Falck, who sometimes could be an unappealing character, she has to battle her addiction to gambling. I love her character development though. Her daughter Annie has the gift of seeing through her daughters lies and will stop her seeing her grandson with whom she has built a strong conection. Falak plays fast and loose with how helpful she is prepared to be with Fredrick and with Lars as she gets closer to the shocking truth, but has little idea of just hoe much dange she is in. I love seeing her work through her grief for her best friend and finding that motivation to find out the truth of what happened to her. She also deals with her own struggles.

This is a wonderfully entertaining and engaging Scandi-crime that I think many crime and mystery readers will enjoy.
