I love the writing of this crime thriller, atypical of Norwegian dark writing the sentences are straight to the point, sharp and punchy.
This is the third book in the series of Selma Falck, lawyer turned private investigator and acts as a stand alone story, although I would have liked to see how the character develops in the first two novels.
In this story we see a shocking assassination attempt which leaves Selma injured and her good friend, an MP named Linda, dead. Everyone presumes that it is Selma who was targeted but this is thrown into question when two other people linked to Linda are killed in suspicious circumstances.
There is certainly someone who doesn’t want Selma interfering as she gets closer to the truth she puts her own life in danger.
For me I liked the main character and story, it just went on too long, but worth a read if you enjoy this genre
