This book is very well written, the story unfolds seamlessly and enthrallingly, "can't put it down" certainly applies here! It opens with a history of poisoning no less, rom Biblical times through the horror of gas in the WW1 trenches, right up to date. This gives you a good "feel" for poisons. Carol Ann Lee has done a lot of research which shows through with the level of detail that gives body to the plot without holding it back. Truth really is stranger than fiction with this factual tale of a teenage boy mass murderer. Reading this book, I felt like I was being mesmerised by a Cobra, I couldn't stop reading! The stark, eye catching cover, blood red and black, catches the spirit of a poisoner, the subtle dropping of the poison into an innocent cup of tea. Brilliant!
