I absolutely loved the opening of this book! The sense of time and place - for the 1970s do now seem like a very long time ago - is fabulous and the history of poisoning really interesting. I'm a big fan of writers who have used poisons in their stories - Agatha Christie, named here, is obviously the queen of murder mysteries - so am very intrigued about a true life crime story with poison as the focus. Especially when it transpires that a 14 year old boy has somehow managed to commit the perfect murder! An engaging and well-written story that I'd love to read fully.
