Interesting subject matter and unique writing style!

I thought this first impression was very unusual. Firstly the subject matter is an important case in British legal history but, it is one I find that is not talked about very much so I love that there is now a book on it! Especially as poison is often portrayed as a stereo typically female weapon. Also I thought the writing style, it almost reads as a hybrid of fiction and non fiction which makes it engaging and certainly not boring. It is very reminiscent of Hallie Rubenhold's writing style which I really admire. I think this book will be fabulous!
