The fact that this really happened has me shook!
I was drawn to this book because of the cover. I loved the cartoonesque feel it gave off as it is very reminiscent of a modern Agatha Christie cover. On reading the blurb, I was hooked but was also shocked to find out it was based on a true story.
I am an avid crime, thriller & mystery fiction reader but this was my first time exploring true crime as a genre. Unfortunately, I did not like the first look of this book (I am not writing off true crime yet!) as it felt very tedious to read. I am not sure if this was because of the historical element but it seemed to be missing the spark I get from my normal crime reads.
