True crime is my favourite genre, so i had high hopes and expectations for this book and it delivered on so many levels. The introduction to poisons was very useful, and I feel that I am both learning and being swept away to the 1970s. I want to know who Graham murdered, I want to know how he did it and I want to know why he did it! This book is highly engaging and pulls you in straight away. The family dynamics about forgiveness and grief both for those they have lost through death and those they lose as they no longer recognise them as people such as Graham could be very interesting. But most of all I'm interested in uncovering the secrets of his crimes. He seems cunning and I feel this will create twists and turns throughout.
The cover seems very appropriate for the book and reminds me of books such as murder most unladylike and arsenic for tea. Which were both amazing, so I think this is a good sign for the direction in which this book will go!
