Wonderfully written, but not for me.

I love the cover of this one - it is engaging, interesting and caught my attention immediately. Unfortunately, whilst the book is beautifully written, I wasn't drawn into the information. It feels very lyrical, but I prefer more succinct true crime tellings. The author is clearly passionate about the subject and I'm sure there will be some who love this, but it wasn't for me.
