What a fascinating case; I'd never heard of Graham Young before but his crimes have so many layers it makes an incredibly interesting case for different reasons.
Carol Ann Lee has certainly researched in-depth for a considerable time; this is very clear in both her writing style (which creatively alters into the descriptive) and the layers of research that provide the central core of the study of Young's case.
You'll find most of that information in the blurb, so you don't need a review of that - what I did find really interesting is the approach and overview of poisonings from the Egyptian times to the prolific pen of Agatha Christie. There's also a link to Christie during Young's story, which provide a macabre and hairs rising on the arms atmosphere. It's fascinating how young our murderer was when he began exploring poison and the mind-boggles on how he could then want to experiment on the people around him to study the effects. Shocking and fascinating.
I found this book very interesting and would recommend it to true crime readers.
