For starters, the writing style of Carol Ann Lee is phenomenal - her descriptive way of telling this gruesome story was executed incredibly well, and made the whole reading experience extremely enjoyable. Not only is there extensive research done on Graham Young's crimes, there is also details on his life and experiences as a whole, and also the section on the history of poisoning was very interesting to me. I'd never heard about Graham Young and his story before, but after reading this book I am glad that I now know, as his crimes were despicable but really fed my morbid curiosity of him. Also, learning about the criminal justice system in England and how it changed over time was also a very interesting and enjoyable added detail.

Overall, a very factual and well researched book that makes for a refreshing change from reading fiction.
