As Scandinavian thrillers go, the first thirty pages of 'After She'd Gone' already proves itself an original and riveting piece of work! I liked that despite the essential premise - body of a child found and unidentified - being done time and time before, the elements framing it are the intriguing parts of the story.

Jake and his tendency to dress in women's clothes; Malin's journey from 2009 to the present day; Hanne's dementia. I'm excited to see how they will all ultimately tie together!
