I think that this book is very good. From the first few pages I was hooked. The story is focused around a cold case murder of a child which was discovered years before by the police officer who is now on a team to discover what has happened to two of her colleagues, one of them turns up dishevelled with no shoes on and in a dense Forrest with no idea what has happened to either her or her partner Peter. Hanne has dementia, a disease which is preventing her remembering what she was doing in the forrest, luckily she has been recording everything in a notebook which Jake, a troubled boy living with grief after the death of his mother and trying to look after his alcoholic Father, has found in the forrest. As Jake reads through Hanne's notebook he realises that he is holding the clue to the killer in the cairn.
